Goodbye Joe

I saw his obituary on the door of the post office yesterday, where we notify one another of passings.
Joey, age 54, died unexpectedly last weekend.

He had a challenging life, and I hope he is at peace, whatever that looks like.

    I can barely stand to even think about what a life like Joey's would have been like.
    May he, yes, be at peace.

    I'm pretty sure I'd drink, too. That's a lot of pain to deal with. And I, too, hope he's found peace. You did your bit for him, Betsy. Good on ya.
